How To Hard Reset any Xperia Device and Xperia Smartwatch

when i forgot the password of my xperia l this is the only trick that worked after me surfing on the web for hours thanks to Xperia Care they are so helpful . and yeah you dont have to get your phone rooted or bootloader unlocked before doing this step enjoy .. Any question Comment Below




Before Starting first download Xperia Companion to reset your device 
Download for Windows 
Download for Mac
Please follow the below steps to repair the software of your Xperia device:-

1. Connect your Xperia device with PC and you will be prompted to install the Xperia Companion on your computer.

2. Launch the Xperia Companion tool and select “Software Repair” option.

3. Please ensure that the battery of your Xperia device should be charged at least 80% to proceed, and then click on “Next” option.

4. The wizard will prompt you to acknowledge if you know your Google details for theft protection purposes, and then click on “Next” option.

5. Xperia Companion will inform you that personal data in the device will be lost during the software repair process.

6. After acknowledging the above message, Xperia Companion will download and run Sony Update Engine in the background.

7. Next, you will be prompt to perform a few steps to start the software repair process in your Xperia device.

8. Disconnect the USB cable from your device and the computer.

9. Turn off your phone and wait for 5 seconds.

10. Connect the USB cable to the computer, not to the phone.

11. Press and hold the volume down key and connect the USB cable to the Xperia device and do not release the volume down key until the application automatically starts the next step.

12. Do not disconnect your Xperia device post following the step -11

13. Next the application will download and perform a repair to latest software version in your device.

14. Once the repair has been completed, you can disconnect your device and power it on.

Note: - You must take the data backup before performing a software repair of your Xperia device.
